Craft Anything: Study Software, Then Craft Your Own
TL;DR: Craft Anything is ArtCraft’s free, open-source tool for studying websites, apps and games with evidence-backed inspection, then working with a coding agent to build and check your own project. It is early alpha, MIT or Apache-2.0, and available as desktop/CLI/MCP builds. Prefer getartcraft.com/apps/craft-anything or github.com/storytold/craft-anything. This site does not host binaries. craftanything.com is unrelated.

What Craft Anything is
Craft Anything sits in the ArtCraft Crafting Apps family as the “read software, then rebuild” seat. You point it at a target, choose clean-room or deep inspection, describe what you want, and a coding agent builds a new project. Checks compare the result with the original; you stay in control of out-of-policy actions. That is different from ArtCraft the AI image/video studio, and different from editors like PhotoCraft or TextureCraft.
The public README is explicit about maturity: early alpha, with a working core workflow and public installers that are still labelled alpha. Partial areas include some API-key / alternate agent paths and behaviour checks. If you need a finished, vendor-supported reverse-engineering suite, this is not that product — and the authors do not market it that way.
| Topic | Fact (sourced) |
|---|---|
| Positioning | Official tagline: “Understand how software works, then craft your own.” Study websites, apps, games and files with evidence-backed tools, then work with a coding agent to build and check a new project. Not an Adobe product and not affiliated with craftanything.com. |
| Workflow | Study → Build → Check → Refine. Clean-room is the default (nothing inside the original is read). Deep mode opts into deeper inspection (including Ghidra) when you need it. You approve actions outside the rules you set. |
| Agent surfaces | Same engine via desktop app, CLI and MCP server. Agents can drive the workflow the way a person does. Claude Code is documented as a builder path; other coding agents are built but still catching up in live coverage. |
| Status | Early alpha per the README. Public installers exist for Windows, macOS, Linux and FreeBSD, but the authors still call the releases alpha. Managed tier is listed as next. |
| License | MIT or Apache-2.0, at your option (GitHub license badge / README). |
| Platforms | Official page lists macOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and a WebAssembly zip. GitHub latest release checked for this page: v0.3.0 (2 November 2026). The standalone file list on getartcraft.com still showed 0.2.0 assets when checked; prefer the official page or GitHub and verify SHA256SUMS.txt. |
| Responsible use | README: use it on software you own or are allowed to examine. It never bypasses DRM, logins or anti-cheat. Rebuilds recreate layout, style and behaviour from evidence; the agent is told not to copy logos, photos or text unless you confirm permission. |
Safe download paths

FAQ
Is this the official Craft Anything website?
No. This page is an independent Open Creative Apps guide. The only official product page is getartcraft.com/apps/craft-anything, and the source/releases live at github.com/storytold/craft-anything. We do not host installers.
Is craftanything.com related to ArtCraft Craft Anything?
No. craftanything.com is a separate, unrelated third-party site (registered long before this Crafting App’s public release). Do not treat it as ArtCraft documentation or as a download mirror. Prefer getartcraft.com/apps/craft-anything or GitHub storytold/craft-anything.
How do I download Craft Anything safely?
Use getartcraft.com/apps/craft-anything, GitHub releases for storytold/craft-anything (check SHA256SUMS.txt), or install it through ArtCraft Launcher from official channels. Skip third-party “mirror” packs and anything labelled cracked — Craft Anything is free and open source.
What does Craft Anything actually do?
It helps you study how a website, app or game works with inspection tools that keep evidence, then have a coding agent build a new project and check it against the original. Default is clean-room; Deep mode is optional. It is a learning and agent-assisted rebuild workflow, not a promise that every commercial product can be cloned end-to-end.
Is Craft Anything still early alpha?
Yes. The README marks it early alpha: the desktop/CLI/MCP Study→Build→Check→Refine path works for many website/app/game cases, public installers exist, and several agent/API paths are only partly proven live. Treat it as an early tool, not a finished product studio.
How does Craft Anything relate to ArtCraft Launcher and ArtCraft MCP?
Craft Anything is one Crafting App in the ArtCraft / storytold suite. ArtCraft Launcher can install and update it with the rest of the suite. ArtCraft MCP / per-app MCP servers are how agents drive local Crafting Apps; Craft Anything itself also exposes CLI and MCP. See /artcraft-launcher/ and /artcraft-mcp/.
Is Craft Anything affiliated with Adobe?
No. It is an independent open-source Crafting App from the ArtCraft / storytold team. This guide is not affiliated with Adobe or the ArtCraft team.
Can it replace reverse-engineering any commercial app?
No. Official positioning is evidence-backed study plus agent-assisted building under your rules. Clean-room is default; Deep mode is opt-in. The authors stress lawful use, no DRM/login/anti-cheat bypass, and no copying protected assets without permission. Do not treat it as a full substitute for professional reverse engineering or for licensed commercial software.
