What the Launcher does

Each Crafting App ships its own installers. The Launcher lists the suite, shows which apps you already have, installs the matching package for your OS/CPU, checks SHA-256 sums from the release, and notifies you when updates appear. It can live in the menu bar or system tray (native egui — not Electron).

Standalone packages still live on each product page — for example FigCraft, PhotoCraft, and FilmCraft. The Launcher is the simplest way to keep the whole suite current.

Safe download steps

  1. Open getartcraft.com/apps or the latest craft-launcher release on GitHub (storytold/craft-launcher).
  2. Confirm the publisher is the storytold org and the tag matches the release you expect (checked: v0.5.1).
  3. Pick the asset for your OS (MSI / DMG / AppImage / deb / rpm / Flatpak / portable zip).
  4. Verify against the release SHA256SUMS.txt when possible.
  5. Install, then use the Launcher to add PhotoCraft, FigCraft, FilmCraft and other apps.

FAQ

What is ArtCraft Launcher?

ArtCraft Launcher (GitHub: storytold/craft-launcher) is a small native Rust app that installs, updates and opens the Crafting Apps suite — PhotoCraft, FigCraft, FilmCraft and the other Craft apps. It picks the right build for your OS and CPU and verifies SHA-256 checksums.

Where is the official ArtCraft Launcher download?

Use the latest GitHub release for storytold/craft-launcher (checked: v0.5.1, published 18 October 2026) or the Crafting Apps section on getartcraft.com/apps. Skip random mirrors and “cracked launcher” sites — the suite is free and open source.

Is ArtCraft Launcher free? Is there a cracked version?

The launcher and Crafting Apps are free (MIT or Apache-2.0). There is nothing to crack. Any “premium unlocked” or cracked launcher package is unsafe and unnecessary.

Can the Launcher update FilmCraft, PhotoCraft and FigCraft?

Yes. After you install the Launcher, use it to add and update suite apps including PhotoCraft, FigCraft and FilmCraft. Standalone installers on each app page still work if you prefer one app only.

Is this site the official ArtCraft documentation?

No. Open Creative Apps is an independent navigation guide. We are not affiliated with the ArtCraft / storytold team or Adobe Inc. Prefer getartcraft.com and official GitHub repos for authoritative files.

Which platforms does the Launcher support?

Release assets for v0.5.1 include Windows (x64, x86, ARM64; MSI and portable), a universal macOS DMG, Linux (AppImage, deb, rpm, Flatpak, tar.gz on x86_64/aarch64 plus riscv64 packages), FreeBSD, a web catalog build, and SHA256SUMS.txt.
